Pacific Lottery Corporation (“PLC”) designs a variety of products that operate in integrated and scalable fashion to offer the on-line lottery industry optimal security, efficiency and flexiblity.
Lottery Central System
PLC has developed lottery central systems that operate on secure LAN/LED networks to communicate with PLC Terminals at retailer locations. These central systems operate with various communication infrastructures such as X.25 and TCP/IP protocols. A PLC central system can support up to 100,000 transactions per second.
Terminals
Pacific Lottery Corporation has developed its own proprietary Gold Lottery Terminal. The Gold Lottery Terminal is effective for high volume online lottery ticket sales through rapid printing, a high-speed processor and fast capture of bet slips, tickets or scratchers. The Gold Lottery Terminal has an internal laser bar code scanner which automatically recognizes and validates lottery tickets or instant games. These terminals also include a touch screen and ergonomically designed graphic user interface that simplifies the sales task. Transaction integrity is ensured by the Gold Lottery Terminals by using encryption to secure its communication with the PLC Lottery Central System.
Software
Pacific Lottery Corporation's software is proprietary. This software includes many implications such as:

- Fraud prevention and detection
- Terminal application version management
- Mobile phone accessibility
The source codes, in relation to the software licenses, are owned exclusively by Pacific Lottery Corporation. The risk of breaching, pirating or reverse engineering PLC software is minimal due to the scope, size, cost and complexity of the task.
